Water & Food

Keep the temperature of your hydroponic solution about 75°F. Anything higher than 80°F can damage roots, but cold water slows plant growth. Adding an aquarium heater to your reservoir will keep roots warm all winter long! Use at least 5 watts of power per gallon for best results.

Aquarium Heaters
  • 50 Watt Fully Submersible Glass Heater
  • 200 Watt Fully Submersible Glass Heater
  • 350 Watt Fully Submersible Titanium Heater

Propagation Heat Mats

Use a heat mat to warm up your seedlings and cuttings during cool weather. Fits under a standard propagation tray, or under a small hydroponic system reservoir. No temperature control.

  • Hydrofarm Seedling Heat Mat 9 " x 20", 17 watts
  • Hydrofarm Seedling Heat Mat 20" x 20", 45 watts
Hydrofarm Heat Mat Thermostat

Just place the remote sensor into your medium, set the dial to the desired temperature, and this thermostat maintains the perfect temperature for your young plants. Controls up to 500 watts of equipment. Can control multiple heating mats as long as they are in the same location and set to the same temperature.
